From Articles
[private].[/private]Writing articles is a very effective way to advertise your website and generate traffic. How? When you write an article you can embed within it the URL to your website.
Now, this is not a blatant ad for your site. You are not going to scream out loud (in loud words), “This is my site. Come and visit me!” The idea behind writing articles to advertise your site is to write an informational article that relates to your niche. You will subtly mention your site in the article. Then, when people read it, they will be encouraged to visit your site for more information or to check out your offer.
You see, the benefit of writing the articles is that you come across as the expert because experts write articles. You are the authority! When someone believes you are an expert on a specific topic, they will be more inclined to see what you have to offer and to buy it.
In your articles you want to focus on keywords and linkage to your site. For instance, if we use our running example of “cat grooming” you will want to write an article that is relevant to that niche.
You might want to write about tips for grooming the long-hair vs. the short-hair cat. You will include relevant keywords that will help the readers find your article and within the article you will place your URL. You might just put it at the end with a short bio or you might put it in the body of the article as a link to further information.
If you have even a basic command of the English language, a spell checker, and proofreading ability, then you can easily write a few articles on your niche with your website included.
However, the idea of writing really scares some people. Do you shudder at the thought of stringing a few sentences of information together? If you fall into this category, no worries. I understand. I have some skill in writing and I still outsource much of it. You can too.
You can find copywriters who can easily produce a series of articles for you at a decent price. Check the recommended providers and outsourcing resources in the “Outsourcing” section.
There are a large variety of article distribution sites that you can submit your articles to. Some of these sites are free and some charge a fee for submissions. Here’s a list of some of the better article sites where you can post articles. Although I listed them in the “Product Creation” section, I will list them again here for the sake of convenience.

When you send out your articles for distribution or have them posted on certain sites, they are printed with the permission to replicate in whole or in part the content of the article provided that the by line and links are kept in tact. This is great because there are people out there looking for content for their own websites. They post your article on their site and you automatically have links back to your site right there. Talk about great exposure! And you still look like the expert.
The down side to marketing via articles is that there are those people out there who will reprint your article without including the proper byline and links. Fortunately, these are relatively few and far between and not much of a worry.
Another great benefit to marketing through articles is that you can increase the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of your site. When you write the content of your article geared toward SEO with specific keywords and you are linked back to your own site, it can improve the ranking of your site in the search engines. Another way to win!
Writing articles is a very cost-effective way to promote and increase traffic to your site. Take advantage of this remarkable tool.
With this, you have in your arsenal a variety of ways to gain traffic to your website. My recommendation is to use as many of these methods as you possibly can because, hey, you can never have too much traffic.
