JV Alert Day 1 recap + videos coming soon…

Posted on June 7, 2008 by No Comments

So at 3am I’m posting a half coherent recap of the day’s events and to be up front, as usual, I’m kind of honed in on the same tones that might be underlying your current thoughts….

#1.) Yes, there’s a lot of people here that get on my nerves and will never “connect” with me no matter how hard they try… that’s just human nature and to say otherwise would be politically correct b.s.

#2.)  number one, above, being said… there’s a few people here that will have effectively gathered my full undivided attention for the next several weeks & beyond effortlessly because we connected on an interpersonal level

#3.)  The trip was worth every penny, effort, sacrifice, and commitment you could imagine

If you’re reading this post I suspect you either regularly visit my blog or subscribe to my newsletter and if not, welcome… but know this… I’m not trying to plug, promote, or endorse JV Alert in this blog entry in any way.  I’m merely stating a brief recap of my experience thus far and although I haven’t made best friends forever with every person I’ve met, I HAVE met a lot of interesting new people who really know their business inside and out.  These types are the ones I will continue to work with & network with.

So in a nutshell, after just 1 day of JV Alert…. I’m more than happy that I made it out here.

I even had a chance to meet Ken McArthur himself and chit chat about how he was first introduced to what we all affectionately call “IM.”

I’ve had my video camera close at hand the entire trip thus far…

However, having recorded some interesting footage, to say the least, I’m still debating what would be appropriate and inappropriate for my blog.  While I do think that censorship is a crock of bull crap and raw unedited content is the way to go… I also think it’s important to be tasteful and mindful of the people reading your blog.

Within the next few days I may or may NOT publish some of the stuff I’ve recorded thus far and just to let you know now, up front, if I decide to publish some of my videos and you find them distasteful I won’t apologize or cover for anyone depicted in my footage.  They were all advised verbally that I was going to film for the purpose of sharing with my readers and subscribers and if they say otherwise, it’s yet another crock.

An important thing I’ve learned not just today, but in my few visits to “IM” seminars, is that at the end of the day we’re all just people… and some people are just annoying, overbearing, and outright irritating.  While others, on the contrary, are enjoyable to be around while emitting vibes that some might even consider “addictive” and inspiring.  I’m here to meet with the latter type of person that wants to connect on an interpersonal level without scrambling to convince me that I need to promote “this” or “that.

I’ll let you decide which type of person is best to model a business after.  My vote is for the guys and girls that are here to meet people just for the sake of “meeting people” and not for recruiting or promoting.

When I do eventually get a few of my videos up on the site & blog from this JV Alert trip I’ll make sure they are as family friendly as possible without losing too much pizazz.
