I recently came across a really convenient tool that will allow you to basically download ANY online video you come across. Using this free tool you can simply browse the net at your convenience and anytime you come across a video online you’ll be asked whether or not you’d like to download it directly to your computer.

Using this tool you’ll basically be able to “steal” any video you come across online and save it for later access. This tool is great if you watch a lot of videos because you can surf the net and download them all at once and then watch them later without having to worry about any sort of interruptions.

We’ve all had the irritating experience of having a long video freeze or lock up right in the middle of the clip, and then having to reload the page and re-watch lots of stuff you’ve already seen in order to get back to the point where you left off… only to have it happen all over again.

Using this nifty little tool you won’t have to worry about agitations such as these. You’ll be able to start, stop, rewind, fast forward, and do whatever else you’d like with the video once you’ve downloaded it using this tool without any interruptions or, glitches, or hiccups.

I made a short video for you showing you how to get this tool for free, and how it works. Just think, once you’ve gotten your copy of this free tool you could even download this video for later viewing :)

Here’s the video, post a comment if you like it and let me know what you think:

    Hi Chris,

Thanks for the great tip. Very handy.

BTW, when I went to “Tools” and “Preferences”, the Download menu item wasn’t there. Turns out that I needed Version 11, and didn’t even know it. Works fine now.

    Thanks again,
    Terry Rayburn

    Hey Chris,
I was looking for this and didn’t realise RealPlayer had this feature. Really cool. Now I can watch my videos on my MP5 player which can play real player & flv files.

    Great stuff.

    Thanks Chris,

Here is another tip. I have been using this for a month or so now and sometimes the download button doesn’t pop up. When this happens you can right click the video and download video is the last choice on the list.

    Hey Chris buddy,

Hope all is good. Yeah nice plug, using it for a few months allready. There is one problem with it as some flash videos are done a bit different way and you can only grab the flash player :) .

Just need to maybe play a bit with it. Usually Frank Kern videos are not able to download.hehe.

    Take care,
    Hrvoje Livnjak

    hey chris,

it’s a really convenient way for me to see a video at my own pace. I still have dail-up so this will enable me to watch a video without having to wait for it to be completely loaded onto my computer. Maybe it’s also the speed at which my computer can download video — the video pauses (what a pain) many times as the video is being played.

    Hey Chris,

I don’t know if that software will swipe any online videos. It didn’t even detect and download the the video on this website: http://www.6figureswithchris.com/mentor/web20profitmachine/web20pm-video.htm

I have not had any problems with downloading any other videos on any website. Any suggestions? I use a mac… please help

    Hey Zoe,

Give this free Firefox tool called “Web Video Downloader” a try – I haven’t used it personally but I’ve heard good things about it:

    http://www.sothinkmedia.com/web-video-downloader-firefox/index.htm

Also here’s a guide by the same website on how to use the tool to download a video:

    http://www.sothinkmedia.com/guide/download-video.htm

If you’re not using firefox it’s a cool browser (I like it way better than IE) and it’s also free here:

    Hope that helps.
