Developing a website is a lot of work!

Posted: October 11th, 2007

Geesh, I’ve been working on this site all day (and night). It is now 7:38AM here in my local time, and I’ve not yet been to bed! I was up working straight through the night configuring the new Pro From Go blog to have the “look and feel” that I’m after, and adding a lot more content to the “PFG Pro” area of the site.

The Pro area covers a lot of interesting topics pertaining to internet marketing. Here’s the rundown of topics covered in the Pro area of the PFG site:

  • Overview (how the site is setup, how to use the site, how to get the most out of the site, etc)
  • Outsourcing (how to be a good project manager versus spreading yourself too thin – like I do! – just kidding :) I couldn’t resist)
  • Product Creation
    • Picking A Niche
    • Organizing Your Approach
    • Creation Tips
      • eBook Tips
      • Membership Site Tips
      • Software Tips
    • Presentation Options
    • Delivery Methods
  • Copywriting
    • Headlines
    • Capturing Leads
    • Sales Copy Elements
    • Aspects Of Copy
    • NLP & Hypnotic Copy
    • Closing The Deal
  • List Building
    • Squeeze Pages
      • Layouts & Makeup
      • Headlines
      • Bullet Points
    • The Subscribe Box
    • Lead Management
    • Autoresponders
    • Giveaway Sites
  • Affiliate & JV’s
    • Recruiting JV Partners
    • Recruiting Affiliates
    • Motivating Affiliates
    • Tools For Affiliates
      • Banners & Graphics
      • Text Ads
      • Email Solo Ads
      • Thank You Page Ads
      • PPC Ads & Keywords
      • Email/Forum Signatures
    • Managing Affiliates
  • Getting Traffic
    • Traffic Exchanges
    • Banner Advertisements
    • PPC Traffic
    • Affiliate Traffic
    • SEO
    • Free Traffic
      • From MySpace
      • From YouTube
      • From Squidoo
      • From Craigslist
  • The Backend
    • One Time Offers
    • The Upsell
    • The Cross-Sell
    • Affiliate Marketing
      • List Offers
      • Incentivize
      • Inside The Product
  • Downloads (special downloads to include bonus eBooks, instructional materials, and more for PFG Pro members)
  • Videos (a nice collection of videos presented via our very own Pro From Go Media Player)
  • Daily Journal (this is a great addition to the site that you won’t find anywhere else, PFG Pro members log a daily journal and mentor level members can give feedback and comments on day to day progress to keep members moving in the right direction!)
  • Forums (not just your run of the mill discussion forums – the PFG forums have more customized mods and scripts than you can even imagine with a unique integration into the site itself)
  • Member Profiles (you can create your own in-depth member profile for other members to view – enter a bio, favorite stuff, include your fav YouTube video and more all in your PFG profile!
  • Blog (The PFG Blog is sweet, but if you’re reading it right now you probably already know that :) )

Well, that’s the rundown of what is included in the PFG Pro area and the content is just about finished. As I mentioned in my last post all of the programming and coding for the project is nearly complete as well. I guess all that’s left to do is go get some sleep – I’m sure I’ll think of about 50 more things that need to be done before I wake up.

I’d like to conclude this blog entry by saying I’m very pleased with the overall progress of the project as a whole. There are a lot of independent aspects of this site that are coming together in an amazing way that gives Pro From Go dot com a whole heck of a lot of character!

That’s it for now… bedtime zzzZZZZzzzZZZZZZ

  3. Medical Web Experts

Great work chris.. A complete hierarchy of strategies to be completed before entering the internet world. Everything from the first thought of building the site to the last thought of earning from it. These discrete steps are highly required to follow to achieve a goal that remains persistent. I have been somewhere at the beginning of the hierarchy. I had a contract last month with a website designing company named medical web experts who will be creating a high end website for my cardiology clinic at Los Angeles. They have started working on my project. I will be having functionality like forums, patient online information portal, eConsultation, medical videos for patients, health games and quiz etc including the basic tenets required in medical website. You can see how it would look like at http://www.medicalwebexperts.com. If everything goes up to my expectations I would be having a deal with them for marketing my website.
